Another Update.

Well I didn't make it to the nursing home yesterday it was a long school day. Plus my mom didn't want to get out as cold as it was , she gets sick when she gets out in the wind. So we went today. My grandmother looks so awful. She cant remember even just a few minuets. Her coloring looks awful and her eyes look glassy. But she is always glad to see us and always tells us how much she loves us. She does not seem to be in any pain, thank the good Lord. So there is my update.

Now I have several of you dear friends who I am faithfully praying for (you know who you are) I just want you to know I am thinking of each of you and every free thought I send another prayer up for you and your family. You are all special to me and I love each and everyone who visits my blog. Thanks again for all your prayer and concerns for our family.

I am still working on my blanket I am crocheting for Dylan for his Christmas present. I wanted to share that pic with you all too. So that's what that pic is up top. I also have a question for you. My sil is wanting a broccoli and rice casserole for thanksgiving. Has anyone got a good recipe? I really need a good recipe I have never cooked one and would rather not be trying new recipes that might not be good for thanksgiving. So any tried and true recipe please send my way!

Blessings, Karen

Hi Karen, my prayers are going up for your grandmother. I make that casserole from time to time but I don't use a recipe. I just cook the broccoli and rice, then mix it together, add milk and cheese, stir, then sprinklle cheese on top and put it in the oven long enough for the cheese to melt. I o like to use Mexican blended cheese. Love the blanket you're making. Deb

I'm so sorry about your grandmother, Karen. Its so hard to see someone you love hurting.

Love your blanket. Looks so warm. Handmade gifs are so special.

I am working on handmade gifts for Christmas too. I just finished two redwork pillows for my sister, and now I'm starting on a couple of aprons. Working with my hands is releaxing.

You'll continue to be in my prayers.

Hugs,
Lea
