Heaven's Grocery Store

Heaven's Grocery Store

As I was walking down life's
highway many years ago
I came upon a sign that read
Heavens Grocery Store.

When I got a little closer
the doors swung open wide
And when I came to myself
I was standing inside.

I saw a host of angels.
They were standing everywhere
One handed me a basket and said
"My child, shop with care."

Everything a human needed
was in that grocery store
And what you could not carry
you could come back for more.

First I got some Patience.
Love was in that same row.
Further down was Understanding,
you need that everywhere you go.

I got a box or two of Wisdom
and Faith a bag or two.
And Charity, of course,
I would need some of that, too.

I couldn't miss the Holy Ghost
It was all over the place.
And then some Strength and Courage
to help me run this race.

My basket was getting full but I remembered I needed Grace,
And then I chose Salvation for
Salvation was for free
I tried to get enough of that to do for you and me.

Then I started to the counter
to pay my grocery bill,
For I thought I had everything
to do the Masters will.

As I went up the aisle I saw
Prayer and put that in,
For I knew when I stepped outside
I would run into sin.

Peace and Joy were plentiful,
the last things on the shelf.
Song and Praise were hanging near
so I just helped myself.

Then I said to the angel
"How much do I owe?"
He smiled and said
"Just take them everywhere you go."

Again I asked "Really now,
how much do I owe?"
"My child" he said,
"God paid your bill a long, long time ago."

Why did Jesus fold his napkin?

Something
I didn't know about the
napkin

This
is really beautiful, with such significance..
I truly hope you enjoy it as much as I
did. John 20:7 reads (in "The Woman's
Study Bible, The New King James
Version) "v. 6: Then Simon Peter
came, following him, and went into the tomb; and
he saw the linen cloths lying there, v.7 and the
handkerchief that had been around His head, not
lying with the linen cloths, but folded together
in a place by itself."

Now,
please read the rest of this and see the reason
I think this is beautiful.

Why
Did Jesus Fold the
Napkin?

This is one I can
honestly say I have never seen circulating in
the
emails so; I'll start it, if it touches
you and you want to forward it.

Why did
Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His
resurrection? I never
noticed
this....

The Gospel
of John (20:7) tells us that the
napkin, which was placed over
the face of
Jesus, was not just thrown aside
like the grave
clothes.

The Bible
takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin
was neatly
folded, and was placed at the
head of that stony coffin.

Early Sunday
morning, while it was still dark, Mary
Magdalene came to the
tomb and
found that the stone had been rolled away from
the
entrance.

She ran and found Simon
Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus

loved. She said, 'They have taken the Lord's
body out of the
tomb, and I don't know where
they have put him!'

Peter and the other
disciple ran to the tomb to see. The other
disciple
outran Peter and got there first.
He stooped and looked in
and saw the linen
cloth lying there, but he didn't go
in.

Then Simon Peter arrived and went
inside. He also noticed the linen
wrappings
lying there, while the cloth that had covered
Jesus' head
was folded up and lying to the
side.

Was that important?
Absolutely!

Is it really significant?
Yes!

In order to understand the
significance of the folded napkin, you have to

understand a little bit about Hebrew
tradition of that day.. The folded
napkin
had
to do with the Master and
Servant, and every Jewish boy knew
this
tradition.

When the servant set
the dinner table for the master, he made sure
that
it was exactly the way the master
wanted it.

The table was furnished
perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just

out of sight, until the master had finished
eating, and the
servant would not dare touch
that table, until the master was
finished.

Now if the master were done
eating, he would rise from the table, wipe

his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard,
and would wad up that
napkin and toss it onto
the table.

The servant would then know to
clear the table. For in those days, the

wadded napkin meant, 'I'm done'.

But
if the master got up from the table, and folded
his napkin, and laid
it beside his plate,
the servant would not dare touch the
table,
because...........

The folded
napkin meant, 'I'm coming
back!'

He
is Coming Back!! Be
Blessed

Friends

Good morning! Boy it feels so nice and cool this morning. Unlike last night when I couldn't get my eyes to close, so as I was laying in bed and was thinking about all the friends I have been blessed with, and was thinking about something good each one does for me. So i wanted to share a little bit of that list with you.
My friends encourage me, make me smile, are honest, pick me up when I fall down, love to laugh, don't care if I have on makeup, listens when I need to talk, gives me advice when needed, cares about how I feel. I could go on and on but I will stop. But that gives you an idea, I love all my friends dearly and yet none of them are perfect and I know sometimes I have been let down by them, maybe they didn't invite me to go shopping or maybe got mad and said something hurtful to me.(Ive probably done the same to them) My point is,is none is perfect, but I do have one friend who has never let me down and that is Jesus Christ. He is forever watching out for me! Its sad that as much as he has done for me and has never hurt me or let me down he has at times been at the bottom of my friend list. Where is Christ on your list? If he's not first he needs to be! As I was lying there last night I thought gee, do I spend time with Christ like I do my friends? To answer that honestly, I have to say no. So starting today I am making it a point to spent time with my best friend and let him know how much I love him and appreciate all he has done for me not just today but each and everyday. My friends I'm sure will be the first to agree that this a good choice and they are not offended at all, if not are they truly a friend? Well just a thought I wanted to share with you all, I hope you week is blessed and full of friends! Blessings

Lovein this fall feelin weather!

Yep the weather has turned fallish here in Ga. I don't know how long it will last but I am sure enjoying it, my windows are up and the ac is off! I have even been noticing some leaves turning on some trees here too. Is this a good sign? I don't know but I sure hope so! Gods handiwork is so great he makes such wonderful things for us his children. Let us thank him for each day we have to walk in his presence.
I have been doing a few crafts here and there. I just finished up some really pretty embroidered pillowcases. They are in my etsy shop if you want to check them out. Are you in the mood for doing more crafts since the weather is cooler? I just seems like a good time to curl up and enjoy some fun relaxing craft time. Well I'd love to hear about what you have been up to..
Yall have a great hump day and Blessings to you all!
