Time passes

Good Friday morning everyone. Sorry I haven't been on in a few days. Things have really been busy here, getting ready to start school Tuesday and I am doing a craft fair in Oct. and have been really busy trying to get things made for that show. I want to thank Heather and Dena for the lovely awards. I just have not had time to get them up. I have my aunt Judy coming in this weekend and I think my mom and I are going to try to go do something while my aunt is here to go stay with my grandmother. My mom never gets to go do anything really because she goes to the nursing home to see my grandmother everyday. So I'm going to take her to Smileys in Macon Ga. which is a big flea market. We both love old stuff and flea markets are great places to find goodies. My boys even like alot of old things so I try to find things for Christmas gifts when I'm out and about without them which is rare.

I cant wait until next week. I made myself wait until the first of Sept. to decorate for fall. So next week I get to decorate. It will be so fun as this is my favorite time of year.

It is hard to believe that Labor Day is here so soon. Time sure does pass by so quickly the older I get. I remember when I was little I thought 1 day took forever. Now 1 week passes by and it seems like 1 hour. Do any of you ever feel like you just don't cherish the precious time we have? I feel like I just don't get those little memories or remembrances in with my kids and family like I use to. I have slowed down alot but it seems like I still don't get to do things with my kids or hubby like I would like to. Do any of you have any suggestions on how or what I can do to make some special memories. My oldest is 17 , the middle is 14 and the baby is 11 and I want to make the most of the time I have left with them as I can. The oldest is already planning to move out and get an apartment. So I may have waited to long. Anyways any suggestions would be appreciated.

I hope each of you have a special Labor day with your families. My hubby and oldest son are working this weekend. So I will enjoy the time with my mom and her sister.

I recieved a newsletter in the mail yesterday from extraordinary women (christian womens conferances) and guess what was on the front cover. An article about a blogging ministry.
The author talks about how much she loves to blog and how many connections she has made.
I know we can all agree there. She goes on to say that she shares Jesus with others as they read her blog. She has had people ask questions and had people to ask for prayer and many other things for her blog family. I have really been on the same line with her, because my desire is to let others see Jesus thru my blog. I know alot of you have the same desires. I feel like when we can share our grief, pain, joy, love and some time tears that we all have some kind of connection. I am thankful that God has put each and everyone of you in my lives and I just pray that at some point whether it be a post or a prayer or even just a kind word that you would feel the presence of Jesus on this blog. I know I have felt his presence when you have said prayers for me and my family and I thank you for taking the time to stop and pray for my family when it is needed. Hubby is completely well, thanks to your prayers and our sweet Jesus for healing him so quickly. I know some of you are going thru some trials right now please know that I am praying for each of you. Know that he is with you also.

Update on hubby he got up and went to work even though he probably didn't need to(can we say hard headed). I can tell he's hurting by the way he walks. So please continue to pray for him that it wont swell anymore and that it will heal quickly.

Prayers please!

Good morning ya'll. I just wanted to post really quick(babysitting so don't have but a min.) My hubby just called and said he hurt his back really bad at work. So please be praying for healing and no pain or long lasting injury. He is self employed so if he is out of work it hurts us bad ,cause we are already struggling. Thanks so much for all your prayers in advance. He is going to chiropractor now to see what he thinks will give an update when I find out something. Blessings, Karen

UPDATE-- Doc said there are a few disc out of place but he was able to get them back in line. Said there should be swelling for several days and to keep ice on it. He says its still hurting pretty bad. Thanks again for your prayers.

A Great weekend and a Giveaway!

Wow, The conference went by so fast! There were some really great speakers and groups there. Carol Kent, Thelma Wells, Lisa Welchel, Karen Kingsbury, New Song, Richie McDonald (use to be lead singer with Lonestar), Michael O'Brien and Angela Thomas! It was a great time just to bask in the presence of God.

I have had my crafty brain in over time this week and wanted to share a pic with you of one of the things I made this week. That's it to the top right, its a crochet napkin ring and I made a felt flower to go on top. I also made several pair of earrings and plan to make some necklaces this week and finish up the napkin rings and hope fully do a few more designs for napkin rings, getting ready for the craft fair. The pic is not that great but anyways it gives you an idea. I cant believe I used pink but I thought they turned out pretty good.

Now on to the good part the giveaway for the week the pic in the center is this weeks book. The name of it is "A Ceiling Of Sky" by Pat Ross. Its a great book for those who love gardens or those who want to create a garden room. It has over 200 color photos and is the perfect guide to enjoying life in a special garden. I'm going to do things a little different this week you can leave me a comment under any post that I leave this week(only this week not last week or before) and you will get your name put in the hat, but your name will only be entered once to keep it fair. The Lord Changes Hearts

Don't really know where to start here so I'm just going to go with it.


When I became a mom and housewife I wanted to be the best that I could be,


well that didn't last long because I hated doing my chores. I had done everything for my mom when I was a teenager and I felt like I had paid my dues so to say. I got where all I wanted to do was read a good book or just goof off all day. I sure didn't want to be washing clothes all day or doing dishes.


But I finally got it thru my thick head that God didn't intend on me to sit ideal and do nothing.


So I prayed that God would change my heart and give me the desire to do the things that I need to do to make a functioning family work. Well it has not been easy and there are still days I wake up and don't want to sweep the floor or cook. But things are alot better I never thought I would say this but I love to do my laundry (which I hated the most) I now have a clothes line and never use a dryer unless absolutely necessary. I love to get outside and hang clothes!!! I have a friend who gave be an even bigger reason to love hanging them now. Aunt Jenny over at Mary Jane's forum took my aunts clothes pin bag and embroidered it for me. Its so pretty! (thanks Jenny)


I like to clean and wash the dishes too so God can change a hard heart and make it workable. He has mine.


I'm still praying for the desire to cook, just cant seem to enjoy that yet but I will soon I have faith. I have enjoyed canning and freezing this year which was a first too. So see hes already working in that area.


I don't know if there are any of you who need a change of heart or a desire to do something that you don't enjoy, but if you do don't be afraid to ask God for a desire to do that ____.(you can fill in the blank) With Gods help we can move mountains so I know he can help us move a broom!
