We got much needed rain!

Good Monday morning! We finally got a much needed rain saturday and sunday. My garden and flowers are Im sure very happy for the lovely drink of water. Had a wonderful weekend, made or tried to make plum butter its more like plum sauce. But a least it taste good. It was the first time I canned anything and with the help of my farmgirl friends over at Mjs Im sure the next batch will turn out fine. You have to start somewhere right? I am going to try and can some squash this week. Will let you know how that turns out. Please be praying for my friend Karen E. as she lost her cousin yesterday(unexspected),this is always a tough time for any family.
Hope you all have a great week, Blessing Karen

Popping in from MJ,s. Cute little chicks!
So tell me about the dishcloths, did you teach yourself and did you use a book to help? I sew and have knitted a scarf but that's it. Is it knitting or crochet? I have three dishcloths that I bought at a craft fair, and would love to have more for me and to gift to family.
Thanks!

Paige, My granny showed me enough to get started, it's croche. I am trying to make enough to sale. Ive made 4 dishclothes so far and have started a baby blanket. We are having a craft fair in Oct. how much did you pay for your dishclothes?. Thanks for your comments. Karen

How exciting! I am working on plums this week too. I am making plum preserves from 2 recipes. One turned out wonderfully well. The other ... let's just say I hope I can find some use for it other than preserves.

I still have 2 large bowls of plums. I'll have to look into that plum butter recipe as well.
